The consolidation with Mec Pac

We constantly invest in advanced plants and technologies to offer increasingly high-performance and sustainable packaging solutions. Our facilities focus on:

  • Rotogravure and flexographic printing of up to 10 colors
  • Digital printing on paper with water-based food-grade inks
  • Coating with wax, solvent, solventless, and water-based
  • Extrusion of PE, PP, Surlyn on paper, cardboard, and aluminum
  • Biopolymer extrusion
  • Window patching on paper and film
  • Coating with hot melt, paraffins, thermolacquers, and cold sealants
  • Application of functional varnishes and coatings
  • Application of anti-fog and anti-UV lacquer

In each plant of Sacchital Group is a place where innovation and tradition meet, continuously fostering solid know-how and an ever more diversified product portfolio. Our extremely flexible production capacity allows us to respond efficiently and creatively to every challenge.

We operate in various sites across Northern Italy. In Bergamo, Dupol Next is at the heart of semi-finished extrusion production, while other plants specialize in flexible packaging, with a particular focus on paper and rotogravure and flexographic printing technologies.

In total, we cover a 350,000 sqaure meters area, 70,000 of which are covered, and our annual packaging production serves both the European and global markets. Each of our facilities is designed to meet the future challenges, always prioritizing quality, innovation, and sustainability.

Beating heart of the Group, Sacchital was founded in 1945. It has always been a benchmark in the production of flexible paper packaging. Today, we use paper both on its own and in combination with other materials, such as aluminum, plastic films, compostable, and water-soluble materials. For years, the search for solutions that are recyclable in paper has been a top priority for us, which has been shared with our stakeholders and customers, for a more sustainable future.

A historic name in the flexible packaging sector, Åkerlund & Rausing is specialized in the design and production of aluminum-based laminated packaging, using techniques such as glue or wax lamination, embossing, and the application of heat-sealing lacquers. The pharmaceutical sector and savoury products (such as bouillon cubes are the main markets), also including solutions solutions also available for sterilizable or pasteurizable products.

Mec Pac is specialized in high-definition flexographic printing and laminating and cutting plastic films and paper. Thanks to Mec Pac, we can offer a wide range of packaging solutions, for both food and non-food products, available in rolls or pre-formed bags. In addition, we produce thermal bags in plastic and paper, customizable in various sizes and formats.

Sacchital Rho – Neophane is specialized in the design and production of packaging made from monofilm and multi-layer plastic films with up to 5 layers, including options with aluminum and paper. It provides anti-fog and anti-UV coatings, as well as the application of all types of lacquers and varnishes, even on paper-based substrates.

With extensive experience, Dupol Next is a dynamic company in the extrusion coating and extrusion lamination sector. It is specialized in standard materials (PP and PE) and innovative ones, such as biopolymers, compostable materials, and water-soluble solutions. With Dupol Next, we offer a wide range of paper and cardboard thicknesses (from 20 to 600 microns), available in both rolls and sheets, for high-quality semi-finished products.
